Summarizes adverse events in both organizations. A total of 65 adverse occasions occurred in 41 of 417 women; all adverse events were related to surgery. Intraoperative bladder perforation and vaginal epithelial perforations were successfully treated during medical procedures without further clinical implications. Three females had a recorded loss of blood of 500 ml or even more. One woman required reoperation to loosen the synthetic sling because of persistent voiding problems, and six reoperations had been performed for tape publicity.
