Ohhhh, port and cheese sounds wonderful. Maybe I should use that as one of my memorable meals from your post.

Mark's suggestion of vintage port would go well with vintage port cheese. A small savoury meal might inspire you to create new kinds of blog posts. It can be refreshing to review older threads. Each time you read things, you bring your perception that evolves all the time. You may see differently and appreciate things you hadn't thought about before.

Welcome Claire! I am glad you are here.

Jason, your site does look great. I went there just to check it out and found myself pulled in almost immediately, and quite unintentionally. As a web developer you have one up on us, we are learning as we go. It seems to make the ups and downs all that more extreme. Wheeeeeee....

I whole-heartedly recommend adding related posts. It helps others navigate your site and follow a thought, as train of thoughts don't always come on consecutive days. Again, we did it manually because plug-ins do not track train of thoughts, mainly just keywords, which sometimes defeats the purpose.

Careful there Mark with the vintage jokes... ;)

Welcome Claire! Yeah, another Aussie reader :) and a reader of The Winding Path and of Steve Pavlina. Nice! (I'm also a member of Steve's forum). Look forward to hearing more from and about you Claire.

Jason, your revamp looks incredible though. I was/am impressed. I'd be interested to hear if it actually increases how long people stick around.

Heh, at least your was behind the scenes. My revamp was right up front and center, and changed just about every possible thing about my site. At least it looks nice and clean now... I just have to see if it makes any difference in people sticking around (or clicking on ads... I'm not in it for the money, but I sure am happy to receive it!).

I'm thinking about adding related posts on mine, too, and perhaps a "popular" posts section, too. At least I'm a web developer, so it's easy enough for me to do.

By the way, you guys are fun to read.

Hi Ladies,

Not that it relates to this post in particular, but just wanted to let you know you have another Aussie reader, via The Winding Path, via Steve Pavlina :-)

Great stuff.
