We did stop for a out-of-this world breakfast along the way too - one egg and toast - it was unbelievably satisfying. Unless something unforeseen happens, I think this will be our longest in distance and time the whole summer. Phew! Our next walk is in a week. We're tackling five days in a row! Thankfully though, none of the days are quite as long as Sakatah. Guests are alway welcome - breakfast will be our treat! The whole walk took 12 hours - basically from sunrise to sunset. Oh, and I took most of your advice, I'm guessing the stuff I 'forgot' was probably what lead to the blister. There is nothing wrong with taking bite sized portions of a big goal. I applaud your efforts and now have memories and have proven to yourselves that you can overcome rain, forgotten shoes, blisters, etc and still made it. Most people only make the first 2-3 miles before they turn around, the next time you will be all the more prepared and will know you can make it. Keep it up!!!
